An unstructured formable broad-flat product (5) is placed on a structured forming part (1) and pressed against it by at least one of two combs (2,3) having two or more teeth (6,7). One or more processing stages are carried out before or after the structured product has been removed from the forming part. The product is a band or foil, and the wave-shaped structure is formed by pressing the toothed combs into a wave trough (1a,b).
