In one version (Figs. 2A-5G), a sub-container body is mounted under a removable container cap for a bottle, and has squeezable plastic outer walls and inner divider walls forming multiple compartments for dispensing respective ingredients contained therein. The sub-container body may be in a cylindrical shape, and the compartments may be divided by divider wall(s) in parallel (Figs. 2A-4F) with or transverse (Figs. 5A-5G) to the cylinder axis. In another version, a can container has a can top and pull tab (Figs. 6A-7G), and one or more sub-containers held in exterior well(s) recessed in the surface of the container top, which are held in place by and protected by the pull tab. When the pull tab is removed and the tab opening is exposed, the sub-container vessel(s) can be removed from the exterior well(s) to dispense their separate ingredients into the container. In a further version for a bottle container (Figs. 8A, 8B and 10A-11B), a sub-container body is mounted in the container neck and formed with a threaded end which can be engaged with threads in the container neck for holding them securely together for ingredients to be shaken out of the sub-container body and mixed with fluid in the container. The sub-container body can have inner divider walls forming multiple compartments for dispensing different ingredients selectively from the compartments. In yet another version (Figs. 9A and 9B), the sub-container body has a protruding shape with inclined walls for guiding it into the bottle neck opening. In other versions (Figs. 12A-13C), the sub-container body is formed integrally with the container cap, or is formed as an annular ring shape carried between inner and outer flanges of the cap.
