METHOD FOR TREATING SURFACE OF COOLING ROLLS FOR TWIN ROLL TYPE STRIP CASTER

PURPOSE: A method for treating surface of cooling rolls for twin roll type strip caster is provided to prevent cracks of the surface of slab and obtain slab having superior surface glossiness in the twin roll type strip caster for directly manufacture strip from molten metal. CONSTITUTION: The method for treating surface of cooling rolls for twin roll type strip caster comprises the steps of uniformly coating a photosensitive film on the rough surface of the roll(1) after giving surface roughness (Ra) of 4 to 5 micrometers to the roll by circularly sand-papering the surface of a roll using #600-800 emery paper; masking a film(10) on which dimple patterns are formed on the photosensitive film coated on the surface of the roll; exposing and developing the masked film using a UV (ultraviolet rays) lamp for a certain period of time after masking the film; etching the developed film by uniformly spraying an etchant onto the film(10) after completing the development; and stripping a photoresist(9) that is a protection film using a basic solution after completing the etching step.
