PURPOSE: A surfactant applied to carbon dioxide and a method for removing the pollutant for a supporter using the surfactant are provided, without using a volatile organic solvent or a halogenated solvent. CONSTITUTION: The surfactant separates the pollutant contained in a supporter into the carbon dioxide fluid to remove it. The cleaned supporter is separated from the carbon dioxide fluid after the pollutant is removed from the supporter, and the pollutant is separated from the carbon dioxide fluid. The carbon dioxide fluid is in the supercritical, liquid or gaseous state. The carbon dioxide fluid preferably comprises an organic solvent and a co-solvent, or an aqueous solution. Optionally the carbon dioxide fluid contains further a co-surfactant in addition to an amphiphilic surfactant. The co-surfactant is selected from the group consisting of 3,5,5-trimethyl-1-hexanol, octanol, decanol, dodecanol, cetyl alcohol, lauryl alcohol, diethanolamide, amide, amine and their mixtures.
