A novel on-line method and system for public participation in, for example, space burials is provided. Methods of customized user participation in a memorial service for a space burial, include, for example, providing a web site or other graphical user interface for users to access via the Internet or via another computer network, displaying a webcast via the web site of a memorial service on behalf of at least one deceased individual having remains included in a space burial mission, and having users supplement the webcast with customized content and interact remotely from remote computers connected to the computer network. |
