<p>A composite electrode material, characterized in that it comprises lithium-transition metal complex nitride particles having a particle diameter of 0.01 to 30 νm and, deposited and adhered on the surface thereof by a gas phase process, a substance capable of occluding and releasing a lithium ion or a substance capable of conducting a lithium ion (exclusive of a lithium-transition metal complex nitride). The gas phase process is preferably a thin film forming process selected from among chemical vapor deposition, vapor deposition, ion plating and sputtering. The composite electrode material can be used for manufacturing an electrochemical element having a high capacity and excellent cycle characteristics, and also exhibits excellent stability in the atmosphere.</p> |
