ANODE ACTIVE MATERIAL COMPOSITION AND LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY PREPARED BY USING THE COMPOSITION

PURPOSE: An anode active material composition and a lithium secondary battery prepared by using the composition are provided, to inhibiting the swelling of a battery by consuming the hydrogen gas generated when the battery is leaved at high temperature or is charged. CONSTITUTION: The anode active material composition comprises an anode active material; a conductive material; a binder; a solvent; and 0.3-3 wt% of a hydrogen storage alloy. Preferably the hydrogen storage alloy is AB2-series or AB5-series alloy, and/or is multiphase structured. The particle size of the hydrogen storage alloy is less than 200 mesh. The lithium secondary battery comprises an anode containing an anode active material layer formed on a current collector and prepared by using the anode active material composition; a cathode containing a cathode active material formed on a current collector; and an organic electrolyte containing an organic solvent and a lithium salt.
