The method involves using a sensor unit with several uniformly arranged single sensors (e.g. antenna, microphone, light sensors etc.) for space-time sampling of signals and adjusting a spatial pre-filter by feeding back coarse parameter estimation. The pre-filter can match uniform sensor fields onto other uniform sensor fields. The data of the transformed, virtual array processing are optimized adaptively using the fed back and estimated parameters.
