The invention relates to an over-voltage protection arrangement (1), in which a dipole antenna, whose both poles (3, 4) are, or may be connected to an electrical circuit (2) and an overvoltage protector (5), with two connectors, to which both poles of the dipole antenna are connected, such that the overvoltage protector and the circuit (2) are connected in parallel. The overvoltage protector (5) becomes conducting when a preset voltage is exceeded and, thus, both poles of the dipole antenna are short circuited. The overvoltage protector (5) forms an additional electrical path between both connectors of both poles of the dipole antenna, which were previously separate from each other and provides a low-resistance pass when the voltage is high. The invention further relates to a method for production of an overvoltage protection arrangement (1), to the use thereof for energy and/or data transmission and to transponders which contain the over-voltage protection arrangement (1).
