The toy building set comprises several elongated components formed by wooden boards with their fiber direction running longitudinally and recesses in at least one end part in opposing narrow edges for forming knot timbering heads. Each building component has a neck between the recesses and the head. The knot timbering head incorporates a separte wooden component (50) which is connected with the neck and has a fiber direction extending in the plane of the board and across the fiber direction of the board in order to reinforce the outstanding parts of the head. |
