PURPOSE: Provided is an electrolytic purification system for wastewater treatment, which is characterized in that an electrolysis tank, a coagulation tank, and a sedimentation tank are installed vertically. So wastewater flows down naturally by gravitation. Also, wastewater is diluted to prevent shock load of organics. And aluminum alloy is used as electrolysis cell for maximizing efficiency. Electrolysis cell is washed by air and washing solution for extending cell's life. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises the following parts: a reservoir(100) for diluting wastewater; an electrolysis tank(120) for treating wastewater by electrolytic process; an air pump(110) for aerating the reservoir(100) and supplying air to the electrolysis tank(120) as washing air; a coagulation tank(130); a sedimentation tank(140) for settling sludge; a dehydrator(150) for dehydrating settled sludge; several pumps(170-174) for transporting wastewater; several electric valves(160-168); and a controller(200). The electrolysis tank(120) is composed of the following parts: several electrolysis cells; a nozzle for supplying washing air; a pipe for supplying washing solution; and a pump for mixing wastewater. Supernatant of the sedimentation tank(140) is used as cell washing solution.
