Anti-overstress projections (42) are located on both sides of contact points (32) of the contact arms in the same plane as the contact points. Even if the mating pin terminal is twisted during insertion into the female terminal (1), the edges (44) of the anti-overstress projections (42) engage the inside surface of the ferrule (60), so that no overstress is generated in the contact arms (30).
