PURPOSE: A turbo compressor is provided to continuously take in, compress and discharge gas and to simplify manufacture of parts and assembly. CONSTITUTION: A turbo compressor includes a hermetic vessel(10); a first and a second bearing housings(20,30); a driving motor(50); a driving shaft(60); a first and a second impellers(100,110); a radial direction support(90) and an axial direction support; a connecting pipe(150); and a gas discharge passage. The first and the second bearing housings are installed in the hermetic vessel at intervals to successively form a first compression chamber(A), a motor chamber(M), and a second compression chamber(B) in the hermetic vessel. The driving shaft is connected with the driving motor installed in the motor chamber and has both ends inserted to the first and the second bearing housings. The first and the second impellers are connected with ends of the driving shaft to be placed in the first and the second compression chambers, respectively. The radial and axial direction supports support the driving shaft. The connecting pipe guides gas compressed once in the first compression chamber to the second compression chamber. The gas discharge passage is where gas compressed again in the second compression chamber is discharged through the motor chamber to outside of the hermetic vessel. The first and the second impellers are rotated by the driving motor to convert kinetic energy to constant pressure to continuously take in, compress and discharge gas.
