STROKE CONTROL DEVICE AND METHOD OF LINEAR COMPRESSOR

PURPOSE: A stroke control device and method of linear compressor are provided to execute top dead center(TDC) control of a piston regardless of fluctuation of load using point of inflection of phase difference of input voltage and current. CONSTITUTION: A control device comprises a linear compressor(300); a voltage/current detecting part(400); a voltage/current phase difference detecting part(500); a point of inflection of phase detecting part(100); and a stroke controller(200). The linear compressor controls cooling power as a piston is moved up and down by stroke voltage impressed to make TDC '0' to vary the stroke. The voltage/current detecting part detects voltage and current generated in the linear compressor as the stroke is increased by the stroke voltage. The voltage/current phase difference detecting part receives voltage and current detected by the voltage/current detecting part to detect difference of phase of voltage/current of corresponding point of time. The point of inflection of phase detecting part receives difference of phase of voltage/current detected by the voltage/current phase difference detecting part to compare with difference of phase of voltage/current previously detected and detect a point of inflection of phase. The stroke controller receives the point of inflection of phase detected by the point of inflection of phase detecting part to impress stroke voltage corresponding with the point of inflection of phase to the linear compressor.
