PURPOSE: A portable information processor is provided to offer an enhanced PDA(Personal Digital Assistant) so as to be used regardless of places. CONSTITUTION: An information terminal(8), a printer(4), a card reader(6), and a control part(2) are installed in a single case. The information terminal(8), or a PDA, comprises a microprocessor, an operating system, a memory, an input-output unit, a data interface, and software. The input-output unit is provided for the input and output of data. The data interface is for data communication with an external system. The software is provided to execute information processing work, such as e-mail management, personal schedule management, memos, etc. The printer(4) is to put into print on printing paper provided in the form of a roll. The card reader(6) reads the data stored in a magnetic strip card and supplies the read data to the information terminal(8). The control part(2) controls the printer(4). The information terminal(8) transmits output data to the control part(2) by an infrared transmit-receive module based on IrDA(Infrared Data Association) standards.
