PURPOSE: An LCD element is provided to firstly contact a reflective electrode with a drain electrode, and to directly contact a transparent electrode with the drain electrode, to make both of the reflective electrode and the transparent electrode connected to the drain electrode, so as to have the same equipotential surface without considering a contact resistance of the reflective electrode and the transparent electrode. CONSTITUTION: A gate electrode(43) and the first electrode(43a) of a capacitor are formed on the first substrate(41). The first insulating layer(45) is formed on a front side of the first substrate(41). A semiconductor layer(47), source/drain electrodes(49,49a), and the second electrode(49b) of the capacitor are formed on the first insulating layer(45). The second insulating layer(51) is formed on the first insulating layer(45) including the source/drain electrodes(49,49a). A reflective electrode(55) formed on the second insulating layer(51) connects the drain electrode(49a) with the second electrode(49b) of the capacitor. A transparent electrode(61) is connected to the drain electrode(49b) on the third insulating layer(57) formed on a front side including the reflective electrode(55).
