There are provided a liquid crystal display having high light utilizing efficiency, simple structure and high aperture ratio and its manufacturing method. A pixel isolator surrounding respective pixel is formed on a substrate to thereby isolate the respective pixel. A liquid crystal layer is formed by dripping liquid crystal microcapsule. Thereby, byisolating respective pixel, the pixel can be driven without being influenced by voltage applied to contiguous pixels.
