PURPOSE: A defrosting method for a refrigerator is provided to achieve improved cooling efficiency of evaporator by determining defrost time of evaporator through the pressure difference of the evaporator and defrost ending time through the temperature sensor. CONSTITUTION: A defrosting method comprises a first step of operating a compressor and a fan motor and performing defrosting operation by the defrost time determined by the output voltage of the Wheatstone bridge; a second step of ending the defrosting operation by the defrost ending time determined by the output voltage of the temperature sensor for sensing the surface temperature of the evaporator; and a third step of performing a normal operation after elapse of a predetermined stand-by time after completion of the second step.
