The invention provides for a splicing nut for securing a line or rope enables quick, lightweight, secure attachment of the line or rope end to itself so as to form a loop wherein the loop can be used to attach to another line or an object without the use of a knot or other attachment means or device. The arrangement comprises a nut having an end and an aperture extending inwardly from the said end, said aperture extending to define an inner surface, and a threaded region being provided on the inner surface of the said aperture and a core arranged to be threaded into said nut by means of a threaded region provided on an outer surface of the core, and the core having a plurality of slots provided in the outer surface thereof and arranged for receiving a line. <IMAGE> |
