A fibre optic kit for trees

A fibre optic kit for trees is described. The kit can be easily fitted to a tree, and is particularly intended for use with Christmas trees (12). The kit comprises a plurality of fibre optic filaments (3) which are used in conjunction with a light source (6). One or more of the filaments are adapted to include an extended light emitting region (80) extending from an exit port of the filament towards an entry port. The provision of an extended light-emitting region facilitates a broader course of light from the fibre optic filament.
