PURPOSE: A refrigerator/warming cabinet using a stirling cooler is provided to achieve improved efficiency of space utilization by permitting the refrigerator/warming cabinet to serve as a freezer compartment and a refrigerator compartment. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator/warming cabinet comprises a main body(60') having a freezer compartment(61) formed in the upper portion of the main body, a refrigerator compartment(62) formed in the lower portion of the main body and communicated to the freezer compartment, a variable storage compartment(66) formed beneath the refrigerator compartment, and a machine room(63) formed side by side to the variable storage compartment; a stirling cooler(90) having a heat absorption portion and a heating portion(92); a first connection pipe(100) connected to the heat absorption portion and which allows for flow of fluid along the interior of the first connection pipe; a first heat exchanger(110) mounted in the freezer compartment and connected to the first connection pipe; a fan motor(190) mounted in the freezer compartment side, and which permits the cooling air generated from the first heat exchanger to flow to the freezer compartment, refrigerator compartment and the variable storage compartment; a second connection pipe(120) connected to the heating portion of the stirling cooler; a second heat exchanger(130) mounted in the variable storage compartment and communicated to the second connection pipe; a fan motor(190') mounted in the second heat exchanger side, and which permits the cooling air generated from the second heat exchanger to flow; a radiation pipe(140) coupled to a second connection pipe; a pump(200) for permitting the fluid filling the second connection pipe to flow smoothly; and a control valve(150) coupled to the part where the radiation pipe and the second connection pipe are connected with each other so as to control the flow direction of the fluid.
