<p>The saw has a U-shaped frame with an identical blade holder at each end. Each holder consists of a block (35) with a lengthwise passage of the same cross-sectional dimensions as the blade (5) to guide and centre the blade end inserted into it, and has a locking screw (37) situated perpendicular to the passage to fix the blade in place. In a variant of the design the block can incorporate a second locking screw, situated opposite the first one to hold the blade between the tips of the two screws. Each blade holder can be attached to the T-section end (41) of the saw frame by one of the locking screws. The saw frame can be made from tubing, and each blade holder block is of light alloy. The saw handle is of a plastic material, foam-covered to prevent slip.</p> |
