A kneading machine has a tank (5) of U-shaped cross section with a removable cover (13) and a horizontal rotor (8) with straight paddles (7). The paddles form an angle of 5-20 degrees to a rotor radius passing through their free end. The tank can be pressurized or under vacuum. Preferred Features: The rotor has three or four blades. Each blade has the first straight section described above and a second eccentric section that is straight or curved. The rotor turns at 10-250 rpm. The tank has capacity of 200-600 l and is asymmetric with one vertical wall and a second wall inclined at 10-30 degrees . The walls are tangential to a curved tank bottom contacted by the blades. The tank moves between operating and emptying positions.
