<p>A glass recycling apparatus arrangement comprising at least one waste receiving container 1, a primary breaker arrangement 5, a crushing means 6 which crushes glass in to a range of sizes, a classification 13 (having sieve/filters 14) which separates the crushed glass according to particle size, a contaminant separating means 15 for separating out non-glass components, a tumble means 16 for removing any residual sharp edges from the glass and a plurality of containers 18, 20 in to which the crushed/shaped glass is collected according to size. Collected glass can be transferred from containers 18, 20 to transportable containers 22. The breaking and shaping of the glass can be carried out in the presence of water. In such an arrangement crushed glass exits crusher 6 via conduit 10 and enters a transfer tank 9. Filter 10 allows any floating matter to be separated. and any residue is transferred via conduit 24 to tanks 26 before being disposed in container 32. Outlets 2 of waste containers 1 are controlled by control system 3.</p> |
