PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a greening block and a retaining wall greening structure providing excellent water holding property and stability. SOLUTION: This greening block consists of a block main body 2 and a vegetation base 3 attached to a surface plate 4 of the block main body 2. The block main body 2 has the surface plate 4 and a rear surface plate 5 arranged at a predetermined interval, a bottom face plate 6 and a connection plate 7 arranged between the surface plate 4 and the rear surface plate 5, and a stuffing material filled space 9 composed of these plates and is integrally formed by reinforced concrete. A fixed groove 9 supporting a lower end part of the vegetation base 3 and a water passing hole 4a communicated with a vegetation base 3 side from a stuffing material filled space 8 side are formed in the surface plate 4.
