SOLUTION: A recording apparatus which has the rack 75 extendedly locating in the running direction of the carriage 19 and provided on a rear frame 15, etc., in such a way that the carriage is movable in the contacting and separating direction with a platen 20 and the ribbon ring line 76 arranged on the carriage and connected with the rack and driving a ribbon winder 42 of the carriage and drives a ribbon winding shaft through the ribbon ring line 76 in accordance with running of the carriage and winds the ribbon on the ribbon cartridge is provided and a hooking nail 95 by which a slider 86 which can press the rack can be hooked is provided on a flexible part which can be bent on a ribbon cartridge holder 40 of the carriage is provided and a stopper 96 which is brought into contact with the hooking nail and controls that this hooking nail is moved by the force from the slider is provided.
