PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous emulsion composition excellent in water resistant property and heat resistance. SOLUTION: This aqueous emulsion composition is characterized by comprising (A) an aqueous emulsion consisting of a vinyl alcohol-based polymer containing 1-20 mol% ethylene unit in its molecule as a dispersing agent and a polymer consisting of a vinyl ester-based monomer unit as a dispersoid, and (B) a glycol ether containing a phenyl group.
