PRINTER, PRINTING SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING PRINTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which can surely receive job data by controlling, at the side of the printer, a timing to transmit the job data by a host apparatus. SOLUTION: The printer has a GA for controlling the timing for receiving printing job data transmitted from the host apparatus by transmitting a predetermined signal to the host apparatus. The GA includes a register for temporarily storing printing job data transmitted from the host apparatus, a counter for counting a predetermined value when printing job data are read out from the register, and a first output circuit for outputting a signal for stopping the transmission of printing job data to the host apparatus when the counter value satisfies a predetermined condition.
