PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the center of a frontage, even for shelves with different frontages by a pair of photoelectric sensors S1 and S2. SOLUTION: The pair of photoelectric sensors S1 and S2 are provided on a lifting base 20 of a stacker crane and the inner parts of marks M1 and M2 provided on shelf members 10a and 10b of shelves 8 and 9 are detected.
