PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antioxidant having an excellent active oxygen-removing action, and compositions of drugs, foods, cosmetics, or the like, containing the antioxidant which has an inhibitory effect on the disorders caused by biogenetic active oxygen and is very useful for medical treatment. SOLUTION: The antioxidant comprises the chlorella having been subjected to heat treatment under normal pressures or under pressure as the effective component. The compositions of drugs, foods, cosmetics, or the like, comprise this antioxidant. |
