PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water soluble resin composition which shows full water solubility and paint stability, and whose cured coat is excellent in water resistance, adhesiveness, and flexibility, and to provide an alkyl etherificated polyoxyalkylene bisphenol A modified amino resin suitable for the same, and its production method. SOLUTION: A production method of the alkyl etherificated polyoxyalkylene bisphenol A modified amino resin is characterized by reacting with a polyoxalkylene bisphenol A ether, after the alkyl etherificated polyoxyalkylene bisphenol A modified amino resin which is a condensation product of a compound having a triazine nucleus, a formaldehyde, an alcohol and a polyoxalkylene bisphenol A ether and a compound having a triazine nucleus, a formaldehyde and an alcohol are reacted. And the water soluble resin composition having the alkyl etherificated polyoxyalkylene bisphenol A modified amino resin (A) or the alkyl etherificated polyoxyalkylene bisphenol A modified amino resin which is obtained from the production method and a water soluble or water dispersible resin (B), are provided.
