RESIN FOR PRINTING INK, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, BINDER FOR PRINTING INK AND PRINTING INK THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin for a printing ink having characteristics comparable to those of a rosin-modified phenol resin without using an alkylphenol- holmaldehyde condensate as a raw material. SOLUTION: The resin for the printing ink is produced by that: a polymer (A) obtained from copolymerization of a polymerizable petroleum resin (a) and unsaturated carboxylic acids (b), and at least one substance (c) selected from among (1) aliphatic monohydric alcohols, (2) aliphatic monoamines and (3) fatty acids are reacted yielding the resin; after the petroleum resin (a) and the at least one substance (c) selected from among (1) aliphatic monohydric alcohols, (2) aliphatic monoamines and (3) fatty acids are reacted, the reaction product is copolymerized with the unsaturated carboxylic acids (b) yielding the resin; after the unsaturated carboxylic acids (b), (1) aliphatic monohydric alcohols and/or (2) aliphatic monoamines are reacted, the reaction product is copolymerized with the polymerizable petroleum resin (a) yielding the resin.
