PTO SECUREMENT APPARATUS AND METHOD

A P.T.O. securement apparatus and method for securing a power take off devic e to a transmission is provided. The securement means includes a plurality of stu ds each having a head and tail portion. Each head portion includes a non-threaded po rtion disposed at an interface of the head and tail portion. Each head portion may be secured into a respective, aligned aperture of the transmission such that a section of the head portion remains protruding from the transmission. Apertures of the power tak e off device are mounted on to the protruding head portions and a tail portion remains pr otruding from the apertures. The tail portion is smaller than the head portion which allow s for a smaller nut to be used for securing the stud to the power take off device.
