PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multishaft auger excavator capable also of preliminary excavation for removal of obstacles. SOLUTION: An outer shaft 62 is rotatably supported on the same axis as a center rotating shaft 32, among three rotating shafts 30, 32 and 34 arranged in a line. The three rotating shafts 30, 32 and 34 have respective gears 44, 46 and 48 mounted thereon, with the gears 44 and 46 of the rotating shafts 30 and 34 on both sides of the center rotating shaft 32 being engaged with the gear 46 of the center rotating shaft 32. A reduction gear 76 is provided which derives the outer shaft 62 by use of drive sources 50 and 52 at a speed lower than the speeds of the rotating shafts 30, 32 and 34. The reduction gear 76 uses a planetary reduction gear which transmits the rotation of the center rotating shaft 32 to the outer shaft 62.
