PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broach not required to clamp a cutting material by a special clamping device and not to intermittently carry out cutting. SOLUTION: The helical broach 10 used to work an inner helical gear or a spline has a slender main body 1, a plural number of cutting blades provided on the slender main body 1, interfaced in the axial direction and arranged with intervals between them, a blade trace 4 of the cutting blade 2 extending with the same helix angle 3 as a tooth trace of the inner helical gear to be worked in the longitudinal direction around an axis 5 of the slender main body 1 and extending with the helix angle and a blade groove 3 of the cutting blade 2 extending with a helix angle a against a flat surface vertical with the axis 5 in the peripheral direction adjacent to it. The helical direction of the cutting groove 3 is made in the same direction as the helical direction of the helical groove hole.
