PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thread eyelet bushing device of a sewing machine for easily winding needle thread to a thread-detecting device and dispensing with rewinding the needle thread so that the needle thread cannot be removed from the thread-detecting device. SOLUTION: In the thread-detecting device 7 of a sewing machine where a wheel for winding thread T at one end of a shaft 11 that is rotatably supported by a mounting stand 4 is provided, and a rotary encoder 12 for detecting the rotation of a wheel 10 and the shaft 11 is provided at the other end of the shaft 1, a string-guiding member 14 for blocking thread T at the outer periphery of a gap so that the thread T is not wound around the shaft 11 from the gap between the wheel 10 and the mounting stand 4, and a thread removal-preventing member 15 for inhibiting the expansion of diameter at the immediate outer periphery of the wheel 10 so that the wheel 10 is not removed since the diameter of the loop of the loop-like thread wound around the wheel 10 is expanded are provided at the mounting stand 4.
