PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly heat a grip portion of a steering device and prevent the cut of a heater wire during manufacture. SOLUTION: A ring rim portion 5 of a steering wheel body 2 is covered with the heater device 21 and heat transfer means 23 and further covered with a leather skin 22. The skin 22, after wound on the rim portion 5, is sewed thereto with a sewing yarn 58 passed through a hole portion 50 formed along the edges at both sides. The heater device 21 having a heater wire 28 in a net woven form is arranged on the skin 22 except on its stitched portion. The heat transfer means 23 is formed from an aluminum plate and arranged on the face of the stitched portion of the skin 22, with both sides lapped on the heater device 21. The heat of the heater device 21 is quickly transferred to the whole periphery of the rim portion 5 by the heat transfer means 23 to cause the rim portion 5 to be uniformly heated. The skin 22 can be sewed with the sewing yarn 58 without giving damage to the heater wire 28 due to a sewing needle. |
