PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape separator for separating a tape body by cutting the tape body at one time. SOLUTION: This tape separator comprises a reel placement unit 26 which has a fixed shaft 31 having an engagement part 35 on an outer circumferential edge for fixing and placing a tape reel 3 by engaging an engagement hole 15 in a reel hub 11 with the fixed shaft 31, a cutting member 27 for cutting a clamp member 18 to clamp the tape body 8 wound around the tape reel 3 and clamp the tape body 8 to the reel hub 11 of the tape reel 3, and a drive mechanism 28 for reciprocating the cutting member 27 in the radial direction of the tape reel 3.
