RUBBER COMPOSITION AND PNEUMATIC TIRE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition capable of giving pneumatic tires good in wet road surface brake performance and low rolling resistance and low in electrical resistance, and to provide a pneumatic tire using the composition. SOLUTION: This rubber composition comprises (A) a rubber component comprising (1) natural rubber and/or isoprene synthetic rubber and (2) a styrene- butadiene copolymer rubber as a solution-polymerized styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber where part or the whole of which is so designed that at least one end of the molecular chain is modified and (B) a reinforcing filler containing 20-80 wt.% of silica. The other objective pneumatic tire where the rubber composition is used as the tread rubber is provided.
