发明名称 PAPER STACKER
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent paper discharge trays from colliding against each other as the result of detection errors made by position sensors and to quickly detect any errors so as to avoid decrease in operational efficiency, using an arrangement having a plurality of paper discharge trays which can rise and fall. SOLUTION: A switch means 600 for turning off the drive of a drive source for raising and lowering the paper discharge trays 1, on contact with the lower paper discharge tray or an operator's hand, is provided on the bottom face of the upper paper discharge tray 1. If a movable plate 606 is pushed upwards, a switch 608 is turned off to stop the vertical movement of the paper discharge trays 1. The drive circuit of the paper discharge trays 1 is provided with a photocoupler CP1 serving as a switch actuation detecting means which is turned on when the switch means 600 is on during the falling movement of the paper discharge trays 1; when the photocoupler CP1 is turned off, an error is reported to an image forming device.
