PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen plate cleaning device in a screen printing machine. Structure of the device is relatively simple and is produced at low cost by sucking and eliminating extremely efficiently print paste residues which attach to inside faces of pattern opening on the screen plate. SOLUTION: The screen plate cleaning device is installed at a lower face side of the screen plate, can move anytime, and provided with a device body 1 which is constructed so that it can suck and eliminate the print paste residues attached to the inside faces of the pattern openings on the screen plate as the device moves. The device body consists of a long hollow housing A to include and place plural suction devices 2 and a suction nozzle B which has the same numbers of independent suction portions B1, B2, B3 as the numbers of the suction devices and is fixed on a plate tip by communicating each suction portion with each suction opening 2A of the suction device B through each independent opening 4 settled on the plate tip of he hollow housing A. The device is provided with a controller C which can control each power of each suction device 2.
