PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet recording apparatus which prevents a filtering area where ink flows from being reduced by contact of bubbles with a filter, while, in a conventional ink supply route, in case of a replaceable ink retaining means, since it is inevitable that a minute bubble gets into the ink supply route when replacing the ink retaining means, this bubble attaches to the filter to reduce the filtering area where the ink flows, and as a result, an increasing flow route resistance increases an entire dynamic pressure, which makes the ink supply unstable. SOLUTION: A ceiling part of a filter mounting member on the side of an ink retaining means is of an inverse tapered shape from a communicating part of the ink retaining means toward a peripheral part. Thus, the bubble is introduced by buoyant force along the ceiling part into the peripheral part, which prevents the bubble from attaching to the filter and prevents reduction of the area where the ink flows. |
