PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite material of a mixed conductor compact membrane and a porous material which can be manufactured easily and has good oxygen permeability in an industrial selective filtration and separation process of oxygen by an oxide ion mixed conductor and a hydrocarbon partial oxidation process. SOLUTION: The porous material of this invention consists of a porcelain component which is a mixed conductor oxide having the composition formula: AFexO(3-δ) of which A is selected from Ba, Sr and Ca, x is in the range of 0.98<=x<=1.02 and δ satisfies charge neutralized conditions. By setting the highest heat treatment temperature during the porous material manufacturing higher than the highest treatment temperature in the compact membrane manufacturing process, porosity deterioration of the porous material in the membrane manufacturing process can be prevented and a composite material with high oxygen permeability can be easily manufactured. |
