METHOD OF RECYCLING PLASTICS CEILING MATERIAL FOR AUTOMOBILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of recycling a plastics ceiling material for automobile comprising plural polymer components by separating into each polymer component and enabling repeated use by chemical recycling. SOLUTION: This method of recycling a plastics ceiling material having a skin layer comprising PET, etc., and a substrate board comprising polystyrene(PS)-modified polyphenyleneether(PPE) comprises the steps of charging disintegrated pieces of the waste ceiling material into a dissolving bath containing a solvent (limonene) for at least one polymer component, filtering to recover the insoluble material for use of raw material for skin, then separating the filtrate into two layers of PPE resin suspension and PS resin solution, filtering to recover PPE, and recovering PS resin from the filtrate, the recovered PPE resin and PS resin are reused for the substrate material and recovered solvent is returned to the dissolving bath for repeated use.
