PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and correctly adjust a printing position deviation of a printer with respect to a printing frame format printed on a paper. SOLUTION: A printing position adjustment apparatus 100 comprises a reception part 1 for receiving printing data from a host, a data analysis part 3 for analyzing received printing data and extracting a printing position where to print (column) corresponding to the printing frame on the paper, a data development part 4 for converting left end printing data of the printing position to data for adjusting the printing position (test mark), an operating panel control part 2 for shifting the apparatus to a printing position adjustment mode and executing a position adjustment to the printing frame of the data for adjusting the printing position, and a printing control part 5 for printing out the result of the position adjustment. After the printed result of a test mark position at the printing position is seen, the position is adjusted so as to accommodate the test mark in the printing frame through manipulation of switches of the operating panel. |
