PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixation instrument which has a simple structure and can be manufactured at a lower cost. SOLUTION: An instrument for external fixation to immobilize bone particles is equipped with a rigid bar 7, two pin clamp assemblies 8, 9, and means 13, 22 which can immobilize the pin clamp assemblies 8, 9 at given positions to the bar 7. The bar 7 has a cylindrical main part 10 and a spherical part 11. The first pin clamp assembly 8 has an integrated body 12, and the body 12 has a penetrating opening which receives the cylindrical main part. The second pin clamp assembly 9 has an integrated body 15 with a dent 16, and it has a region 20 which allows the spherical part 11 to rotate without clearance in a horizontal direction and receives the spherical part 11 while allowing the second assembly 9 for holding pins to be joined to a joint.
