PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a considerably compact stud welding apparatus, however not missing technological characteristics of existing stud welding apparatus. SOLUTION: The stud welding apparatus 1 includes a stud holder 3 having a tip portion 2 to hold a welding stud 4, and a device 5 having an edge 7 designed as a means for holding an insulated space. The tip portion 2 of the stud holder 3 always remains in the rear of the edge 7 of the space holding means, thereby an electric contact is prevented between the tip portion 2 and a part 6. The stud welding apparatus 1 is constructed with no supporting leg, thereby it remains small in dimensions.
