PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multicolor thermal recording material excellent in color separation of a low-temperature printing part and a high-temperature printing part and in the coloring sensitivity and chemical resistance of the high- temperature printing part, in regard to an additive type multicolor thermal recording material which colors in different color tones. SOLUTION: The multicolor thermal recording material is provided with a thermal recording layer containing electron donating and normally colorless or light-colored dye precursors for low-temperature coloring and high- temperature coloring and an electron accepting developer making the dye precursors color in heating, and it colors in different color tones according to a difference in temperature. The dye precursor for high-temperature coloring is a mixed melted substance of two kinds or more dye precursors and it is contained in the thermal recording layer, in a state wherein a coloring regulation layer obtained by polymerizing vinyl monomers is provided on the surface of the mixed melted substance. |
