<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production methods for a high-carbon molten metal by a arc-furnace operation high in yield and low in cost, using a scale material disposed conventionally. SOLUTION: The high-carbon molten metal is produced by the arc-furnace operation, wherein the scale material and carbon material are used with together an iron as raw material in the arc furnace, and in this case, the carbon of 50-300 kg per the scale material of 1 ton is preferably fed.</p> |
