PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter pack replaceable air filter possible to recycle, reduced in scrap quantity, enabling the replacement and attachment of a novel filter pack and capable of shortening the replacing work time of the filter pack, and a method for replacing the filter pack in the air filter. SOLUTION: The air filter consists of the filter pack, wherein filter media folded zigzag are held at a predetermined interval through interval holding materials, and the side frames and upper and lower frames brought into contact with both side edges and upper and lower edges of the filter pack to airtightly surround the filter pack. The side frames are fixed to the filter pack by a linear seal agent, and the upper and lower frames are fixed to the filter pack in a separable manner by a face seal agent through a release agent and fixed to the side frames in a detachable manner by fixing instruments.
